The Most Entertaining Parenting Posts of the Week (February 24, 2025)

Mommy Facebook Groups are not known for constantly propping up the most correct opinions. They are often filled with fringe beliefs and aren't known for being subtle. But occasionally, there will be a post from someone so unquestionably incorrect that every mother, whether liberal, conservative, a conspiracy theorist, or a total normie, will come along to criticize her. When I was in my community's Mom Facebook Group, a mom posted a long, incredibly detailed description of the older man her 24-year-old daughter was dating. I don't remember what I ate for breakfast yesterday, but I do remember that a girl I went to high school with is now dating a 40-year-old Catholic virgin who wants kids and loves to ride his bike. Everyone agreed that that post had crossed the line, and if you can't agree that some of these parenting posts have, too, then I don't know what to tell you.

    So. My 7 year old is a grand larcenist. She's hacked her family's apple accounts and stolen $1800 previously, and now another $800 this weekend. To be fair, she also gave a lot of this money to other kids playing the game with her so at least she shares? Robinhood style?     BEFOR now and just fine. My daughter is about to be 10 months and is just fine. I've never followed the traditional "safe sleep" stuff other then I don't give them a pillow til they a 1-1.5 years old and half the time I Cosleep as well.     Follow If my kid was to the point they had specific themes they were requesting, I would stop, honestly. Holidays are out of control with the baskets & goodies anyway. I know I sound like a Scrooge. But I just feel it's all too elaborate. We do a basket because I don't want my kid to feel left out when all her friends are talking about it.
